AirPennNet-Guest serves as a courtesy wireless network for non-PennKey holders on campus. Guests will be able to join their devices on this network by registering an e-mail address, therefore eliminating the dependency on an issued PennKey.
These are the limitations that AirPennNet-Guest has that AirPennNet does NOT.
- Only basic Internet connectivity will be provided, including web browsing and secure protocols, such as Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and Remote Desktop Protocols (RDP).
- Bandwidth usage limits provide 3Mbps upstream and downstream per device.
- Device registration on AirPennNet-Guest must be renewed daily.
- AirPennNet-Guest will block hosts that serve malicious content.
- In case of abuse, repeat offenders will be blocked from using the AirPennNet-Guest wireless network.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select AirPennNet-Guest. You will automatically be redirected to the webpage below once you are connected. When on the Welcome page, click the Guest Access button.
Enter an email address. Review and accept the terms of use. Then, click Register.
You will be redirected in a moment will appear. Then, you will be automatically connected to AirPennNet-Guest.
MAC users only: You will be sent to the website upenn.edu. Click Done. Then, you will be connected to the AirPennNet-Guest.
