How to check for updates on a MacOS


To download macOS software updates, choose Apple Menu > System Settings > General then click Software Update to check for updates. If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Click More Info to see details about each update and to select specific updates to install.

         




How to check for updates on Windows OS 


Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner of your screen. From there, click on the Settings icon, a small icon that looks like a gear. At the bottom of the Settings menu, click Update & Security.





To view potential updates, click on Update & Security from the Settings menu. Click on Check for updates to see if your computer is up-to-date, or if any updates are available.

       




How to check for updates on iOS & iPad OS

Go to Settings > General, then click Software Update.



Then tap Software Update.





Tap Download and Install if there are files that need to be updated. When there are no files to update it will read iOS is up to date. 





How to check for updates on your Android device


Open Settings and scroll down to Software Update.





Check for Updates. If an update is available, an Update button will appear. Tap it.





Depending on the OS version, you'll see Install Now, Reboot and Install, or Install System Software.
